The Lab Leak Theory Has Nothing To Do With Racism
The Ridiculous Response To A Legitimate Theory
4 min readMar 12, 2023
On February 27th, the US energy department assessed with “low confidence” that the COVID-19 Pandemic most likely came from a laboratory leak in China.
This confirmed what those of us who are media literate have known since the pandemic began: that the possibility a lab leak was a legitimate theory, and not a wild conspiracy theory.
There are 4 simple factors that point to the possibility of a lab-leak:
- The pandemic seemed to begin right next the Wuhan Institute of Virology where they had been studying coronaviruses.
- The Chinese Communist Party refused to let any real WHO investigation into the origins of the virus take place. (If they believed the virus had a natural origin, wouldn’t they be eager to prove it?)
- Real evidence of a natural origin to COVID-19 still hasn’t been found (3 years on). In comparison, for SARS-CoV-1 the origin was traced back to bats within a few months.
- As stated by many highly-cited scientists, the spike furin cleavage site seems strangely well adapted to humans. So much so, that many scientists believe it to be lab-made and not natural.
