Americans think the world revolves around them. And as such, the only slavery they seem know about is the Atlantic slave trade.

Arabs enslaved more Africans than westerners did. They also enslaved thousands of “slavs” from eastern Europe.

But this doesn’t fit the American narrative and is thus ignored.
