Aren't they already? A rapist is, socially speaking, already one of the worst things you can possibly be.

Where exactly is rape not shunned and shamed? It certainly is in the UK.

Personally, I don't see what further effects we can have by reminding everyone over and over that rape is bad and shameful. Everyone is already aware of this.
