As a British guy, I will explain this for you clearly.

We have something called "lad culture" in the UK. You get "lad points" by drinking more than your buddies, by shouting football chants at the top of your lungs "OOHHAAHHH RUH RUH RUH!" and by doing the most daring and dumb crap thing you can possibly imagine.

I couldn't stand this culture growing up and I'm not surprised other countries can't stand it either.
