First things first. The biggest loser is a joke. Listen to any fitness professional an they’ll tell you thst the weight loss gained in the show is totally unsustainable.

Having said that, being overweight puts you at greater risk for multiple health problems than being thin.

Yes, thin people can get sick too. Athletes can die suddenly of heary attacks. Healthy 20 year olds can get cancer. But what’s important here is probablity.

Overweight people are way more likely to have heart attacks, get cancer, get diabetes, have strokes, have joint problems and the list goes on.

It’s very rare for a healthy person to get diabetes but it’s not rare at all for someone who is overweight.

Overweight people are even more likely to die from COVID19.

To be healthy, you don’t need to go on the biggest loser. You don’t need to start a fad diet. You don’t need to take a diet pill. You don’t need to buy anyone’s bullshit product.

You simply need to: Eat a healthy diet and exercise. I know that’s boring. But that’s the truth.

Body acceptance is great. But we don’t want obesity acceptence. To accept obesity would be to accept: Early death, depression, anxiety, food addiction, increased strain on our medical systems and essential a lower quality of life.
