History repeats itself, and there are definitely signs of facism in America right now.

But there are also signs of extreme left-wing behavior. Calls to “defund the police”, people losing their jobs for voicing their grievances with BLM, Antifa rioting in the streets, the cancellation of anyone who disagrees with a strangely particular brand of left-wing ideology. The denial of science around gender differences, the shaming of white people, the book “white fragility” that calls every single white person a racist be default.

These are also incredibly worrying trends and ones that we’ve also seen throughout history. And yet, nobody on Medium seems to even know these problems exist.

There is extremism on both sides. Not only one side.
