I believe that western media should stop attempting to "spin" things and simply make a commitment to telling the truth exactly as it is, as closely as possible, in the most accurate context they can.

I think there's a giant market for simply telling the truth as it is. If western media suddenly decided to take this approach, the whole world would be behind them, as it would be in clear contrast to Russia's and China's propaganda.

Instead, the west has their own propaganda machine. So people don't trust the west anymore.
