I can see how a small amount of sympathy could help a man. Just a sense that he’s not alone in his struggles, and the whole world isn’t against him.

Not too much sympathy, just a little.

It’s often been shocking to me the utter lack of sympathy women have for men who struggle. Almost as if it’s a biological instinct of some kind for women not to sympathise with men.
