I disagree.

This person leaves the app believing they have no romantic/sexual value to women at all. A lot of men, especially the young ones (18-22), believe that this is a reflection of their real value. For a lot of young men, online dating is a huge confidence killer, self-esteem destroyer and messes up their mental health.

The women leave the app believing that they're a bit of a catch. They have hundreds of messages after all. Online dating often gives women boosts in confidence, in fact, I've read articles on this very website saying exactly that.

Again, it's like a rich, famous person complaining that they get too much negative attention. The problems women face on online dating are real, and important. But when you step back zoom out, it's clear that men are the ones taking a much larger blow from this technology.

Get rid of unmonitored online dating? What you're talking about is government regulation of online dating. Is it a good idea? Perhaps. Although I highly doubt it would ever happen. Matchgroup (owner of Tinder and other dating apps) would fight tooth and nail against any regulation.
