If it’s caused by societal conditioning, how do you explain the fact that mating rituals are generally the same across cultures and countries?

If it was socially conditioned you’d see a wild variety of dating rituals based on the culture. Yet somehow, in The UK, in Vietnam, in Africa, in Ecuador, it’s always the man that pursues the woman.
