I'm not an American and I don't care whatsoever about Christianity. I do care about avoiding nuclear war. And simply allowing the Ukraine war to continue to escalate with no attempts to negotiate is very likely to bring about some form of WW3 .

No. What the current US government is doing is actually crazy. Trump having the goal to end the war is sanity.

With the insane weapons technology we have available to us today: nuclear weapons bigger than anything seen before, drones, nano-weapons, we must avoid a wide-scale conflict at all costs.

If that means negotiating with someone like Putin, then so be it.
