In terms of continuing on the species, men are disposable. Most of our psychology is shaped around continuing on our species. That's why we instinctively protect women and children before men.

Right now, tens of thousands of young Russian and Ukrainian men are dying on the battlefield, many of them have been forced there. How do you think we would react if it was tens of thousands of women dying?

Women and children were allowed to leave the country. Men were not. Yet I don't hear a feminist outcry about this. Emotionally, women generally just don't seem to care all that much about the suffering of men. And other men don't either.

To put it simply, the deepest parts of our brain are wired to be more willing to sacrifice men than women.
