It’s not about understanding science and being consciously aware of the investment of pregnancy. It’s subconscious.

The female brain evolved through a survival of the fittest mechanism. If the female brain was not selective, and freely had sex with any man who wanted to, the quality of the species would not advance. The fact that women are choosy with partners one of the mechanisms by which our species became stronger and smarter.

The other things you mentioned remind me of that book “Sex at Dawn”. All interesting stuff…

Still not convinced that a society where women are chasing after men and trying to seduce them is possible.
