Instagram is legally available for 13 years old, and easily available for younger girls.

Teenage girls will always compare themselves to their peers, it’s perfectly natural. But the brain evolved long before social media was ever invented. As such, the brain assumes edited Instagram images are real. So teenage girls rate their own beauty as low in comparison.

It’s a cruel, demented trick to play on adults, let alone teenagers.
