No, you’re missing the point.

If you try to artificially force absolute equality between the races, you create resentment and make it more likely for a backlash to occur.

If you want good race relations, simply make the laws equal, have a mainstream culture that doesn’t accept racism (just like we do now), and then let the racism die out as the next generation arrives.

Trying to force the issue with affirmative action policies, obsessively discussing race at every turn and going to absurd lengths to represent black people in media (like replacing white characters with black ones) has the reverse effect that you want it to.

Doing these things creates more racial tension, not less.
