People assume it means "destroy men" because in many cases it actually does. The rhetoric towards men is extremely negative and belittling.

There should be no surprise whatsoever that most men aren't on board with feminism. For me, a man, I'm 100% for giving men and women equal opportunities. But do I support "feminism" absolutely not. At least 50% of feminism is a horrible, hateful movement which has had a net-negative impact on society.
