Generally they speak about popular topics and have the write opinions about things.

It’s the writer with 20 followers who’s writing exactly on his mind (without being influenced by the need to please the crowd) who are the most interesting.

Would JK Rowling ever have written Harry Potter if she was constantly checking algorithms and comparing herself to others based on money. I don’t think so.
