Should We Bring Back Kink Shaming?

Is “Don’t judge anyone” always the best policy?

I’ll start this one with a personal anecdote.

When I was 17 years old, I was working a minimum wage job at a warehouse organising kids summer camp equipment.

On that day, it was only myself, another 18 year old kid and the warehouse manager — a man in his late 50’s.

The manager lived in a caravan right next to the warehouse. His life? Work at the warehouse in the day, go back to the caravan at night. Back and fourth from caravan to the warehouse. For years.

I remember feeling a great deal of sympathy for the man. What a sad life this man leads, I thought to myself.

One day, for reasons that I can’t remember, my 17-year-old self and the other kid working there had to go into his caravan and wait for something.

The caravan was mostly empty, aside from a laptop that lay on a table.

In a state of boredom, I decided to open up the laptop and take a look.

The desktop was completely empty aside from the Recycle bin, a folder named “work” and one video file. Looking at the thumbnail, I could see that it was a porn video.
