So this article is written for the majority, but of course others, like you, have more legitimate reasons for thinking the podcast is troublesome. But here’s my response:
These “anti-vax figureheads” are fully qualified doctors. And as far as I know, not one of them has told anyone not to get the vaccine. Therefore, by definition, they’re not “anti-vax”, despite what people keep parroting.
We all know the vaccine is effective, I’ve not once seen anyone in JRE suggest otherwise. And I’ve watched that podcast for plenty of hours.
What is being deemed “misinformation” is actually just alternative points of view from qualified doctors. Sure, many disagree with them, many even think they’re imbeciles, but they at least have SOME idea what they’re talking about.
There’s (inconclusive) evidence that ivermectin can be effective against COVID. Vaccines do cause myocarditis in young men from time to time. Inconvenient facts like these should be freely stated, and not censored and ridiculed. JRE is a place where you can do that.
To me, the JRE is precious. Finally, we have a channel of communication that isn’t controlled by giant corporations. Isn’t that a good thing? Despite the occasional misinformation?
