Some day soon, dating apps will transform.

The dating apps we have today are really primitive. We genuinely use a few still images along with some text.

Dating apps of the future will be more based around video. We will share videos introducing ourselves, and perhaps videos showing "a day in the life" of our lives.

Imagine a man showing a video of himself doing the hobbies he likes, giving a tour of his house and taking a video at his job.

We will create our own marketing trailers for ourselves as dating products.

Instead of sending text messages with each other, we will first meet the other person in a 3rd, virtual reality space; sitting at a virtual restaurant or cafe and having a conversation. Or perhaps playing virtual games together.

When online dating evolves, this may rebalance the playing field, as it will allow men to show aspects of themselves that women our attracted to, instead of simple 2d images that only show our appearance.
