Sure, men and women both traumatise each other. And neither of us will ever understand what it's like to be the opposite gender.

Women have gigantic blind spots on the male experience. I've never really met or heard a woman who seems to understand the male experience at all. Even the highly intelligent ones. It's as you say, they just don't "get it", just as I don't "get" the troubles women face.
