The brain gets good at what you do the most.
Spend 4 hours a day flicking between tabs on the internet and your brain will get very good at concentrating for short periods of time.
Spend 2 hours a day reading and your brain will get very good at concentrating for long periods of time.
People put reading on a pedestal, but reading isn’t without it’s flaws.
I have the feeling that heavy readers tend to think too much and act too little.
A heavy reader wants to analyse everything from an abstract point of view without directly interacting with it.
