The first clue that you might have been misled is when you say "It's got nothing to do with biology at all". Everything that humans do is a consequence of nature and nurture. You're suggesting that for some reason, the way men and women court each other is the only thing in the world only based solely nurture. Does that sound correct?

Read enough feminist literature and you'll end up believing the nature side of the argument doesn't exist.

Women are highly promiscuous only for men that meet the standards of hypergamy... That's why they divorce and leave monogamous relationships. And that's why female sexuality was regulated by past societies, because if you let nature take its course, you will have a huge number of men without partners, which in-turn creates an unstable society.

Hypergamy stares us in the face, but for most people it's a reality they would prefer to pretend isn't real.

Equating evolutionary psychology with flat earth theory is nothing more than proof that you've never read anything about evolutionary psychology.
