The problem is, you talk in universal terms. “White people are this”…”black people are this”

It leaves the impression that you’re talking about the entire world.

People from other countries generally don’t do this. Instead it would be “white french people are like this..” or “Japanese people are like this..”

It seems to be built deeply into the language of Americans to talk as though America IS the world.
