There are reasonable voices that go against the current narrative around race: Coleman Hughes and Thomas Sowell. They would be worth checking out for a different point of view.

Your response was measured. You essentially said “there is room for improvement in gender and race equality" and that’s great.
That’s not the dominant message from the “woke". Their message is that we live in an oppressive, deeply racist patriarchy. Despite the face that, as you said, America is ranked 10th for gender equality in a world of around 200 countries.
Im terms of racism, America is not a deeply racist country. Racism is fiercely condemned and not accepted whatsoever. Try going to China or a middle-eastern country and see for yourself open, widely accepted racism.
The problem with the “woke" is they generally don’t understand the world outside American boarders, and they have no appreciation whatsoever for the incredible progress western societies have already made towards gender and race equality.
