They didn't force Twitter to do anything, but Twitter happily complied with almost all of their wishes. They were essentially working in tandem with each other. This is not supposed to happen in a democracy.

Our communication channels are not supposed to be controlled by the FBI.

It's frankly amazing that there isn't more outrage over this.
