This may be the answer. Its a shame, because anonymity has benefits too like being able to talk freely without a risk of judgement, and it puts the ideas of your argument to the forefront instead of your appearance or what not.

But yeah, requiring ID would solve a lot of problems…

I think the media ecosystem would be improved a lot if social media companies made their money through a monthly fee, or even better a larger one-off fee, instead of advertising. Perhaps then they’d be less obsessed with keeping our attention all the time and would stop putting us into algorithmic bubbles. Maybe then we would all stop living in separate realities and be able to communicate better.
