Throughout history, almost everyone was oppressed. A tiny fraction of the population had large amount of wealth and everybody else was poor. The men weren't privileged, they suffered through brutal working conditions; on farms or in coal mines.

But the woke narrative looks at history in one particular way. They have no understanding of the complexity and nuance of history.
