Now, I’m not even from the USA. And I haven’t even watched much Tucker Carlson.

As a Fox News presenter, I have no doubt that he’s said ridiculous and insane things in the past. But on a recent podcast he said something that just blew my mind. And, honestly, it gave me a new found respect for the guy.

Tucker: “That’s a big part of the revelation that has changed my life…that the media are part of the control apparatus. (…) What if you’re me and you spent your whole life in that world (the news industry), and to look around and go….”oh wow…”.

First, Tucker seems to have come to the revelation that mainstream news is actually just a tool that powerful people use to get the public to think the way they want. Better late than never Tucker.

He then goes on talk about his regrets about the way he acted during the Iraq war.

Tucker: “I spent most of my life being part of the problem — defending the Iraq war. Like, I actually did that. Can you imagine if you did that?”
