While I sympathise to an extent, some of the things you've brought up are non-issues.

- I also often have problems with soap dispensers and I'm a white guy.

- If black people are more likely to be run over by self-driving cars I'm sure car companies are working frantically to fix it. The last thing these companies want is a high number of pedestrians being run over. They will aim to reduce the number of incidents as much as possible. It's not because some racist evil white man purposefully programmed them that way.

- Of course the unconscious belief that everyone is white is built into the English language. The roots of the language were created in Europe! A land filled with white people because our skin adapted to the colder climate over millions of years to contain less melanin. In the past, western Europe was 99% white. And I'm sure you can find the reverse situation in various African languages.

For what it's worth, as another British citizen, I don't care what colour you are as long as you're a good, moral person.
