White People and Slavery — You Have Been Misled
Slavery was done by mostly white people? FALSE
When I first started my project, MediaVsReality, the original goal was to help people achieve an understanding of the world as close to “reality” as possible.
The more I observed and the more I studied, the more I realised that a lot of people have an incredibly skewed understanding of history. When people carry with them a misunderstanding of history, this sews the seeds for bad ideas and a massively misguided and incorrect view of the world.
One such topic that a huge number of people carry misconceptions about is the topic of slavery and white people. I will now attempt to bring your views about this topic more in-line with reality.
(I am aware that this is an incredibly sensitive subject. As such, I have written some disclaimers at the bottom of this article to clear up any misunderstandings of what I’m trying to say here).
